Bio
Calvin LaFiton grew up in New Orleans, LA and moved to Houston in 2002 to play football professionally. He was selected to participate in preseason training camp for the Houston Texans followed by tryout invites with the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played professionally in Canada with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, but injuries cut his career short. Following his stint in professional football, he started a gym and catering company, and briefly got involved in acting and modelling. Even with the exciting career opportunities, the draw to football was too strong so he refocused his talents on teaching and coaching. Mr. LaFiton served on the faculty at Texas Southern University and Lone Star College while coaching part time. He had the opportunity to coach on a full time basis at the high school level and he has been doing so ever since.
Mr. LaFiton and his wife, Cindy, have three beautiful daughters.
