Team Updates

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, TAPPS has suspended all games until 4/12/20, and has suspended all practices to closed campuses. TAPPS has plans in place for return-to-play options for the 2020 season, if it is feasible. For more information and updates, please go to the TAPPS website. 

3/5 - Our Falcons had an excellent match against district rival Cristo Rey, with a 7-1 win!

3/3 - A notable duo on the tennis court vs Lutheran South, was Lucy Simon and Mary Coleman. These two Falcons played 3 sets against different opponents, and won 8-0, 8-0, 6-0! 

2/27 - Our traveling tennis team had an exciting match against Second Baptist! Our Line 1 girls doubles team of Alex Lorenzo and Vanessa Munguia, pulled off a strong district win of 8-4! Our undefeated line 2 doubles girls, Monica Mimun and Jaclyn Garza, won 8-3!  Cristina Martinez and Ainslie Chun were victorious with an 8-1 win!

2/26 - Our tennis team defeated Providence Classical yesterday, 5-3! In the boys singles, Vincent Garcia won 6-2, and in the girls singles, Marianna Munguia won 6-3! In the boys doubles, Edwin Rice and Michael Sibille won 6-2! In the girls doubles, Christine Bui and Marianna Munguia were victorious 6-3, and the undefeated duo of Monica Mimun and Jaclyn Garza won 6-3!

2/24 - Our line 2 girls doubles are undefeated this season (Monica Mimun and Jaclyn Garza)!  They won at (6-1)!

2/13 - The Falcons had a great first match of the season vs TWCS!  Our line 1 boys doubles team (Antonio Moschella and Ryan Elhajj) had never been on the court together, and they almost pushed a win (6-8).  Our line 1 girls (Vanessa Munguia and Alex Lorenzo) lost at 6-8, but they were strong at the net and had excellent ground strokes. We had a fabulous 8-7 tight win from our line 2 girls (Monica Mimun and Jaclyn Garza), who were patient and consistent to stay in the point! Another big win was from our doubles boys team of Nicolas Martinez and Collin Dunfrene. They quickly took down their opponent at 8-3, and were fast to get every ball. Nicolas Martinez was aggressive at the net, and forced the opponents' errors with strong volleys!  Both of our boys singles lines finished quickly.  On line 1, Antonio Moshella had a strong serve, and on line 2, Ryan Elhajj finished many points at the net with crushing overheads! Even our new players had a chance to bring in their first win on mixed doubles at 3-2!  The team of Michael Sibille and Catherine Laher communicated well, and built each other up on the court!  Another brand new combination of Masheed Hadaegh and Kiara Auza, brought in a tie at 2-2 and worked well together! The rallies were long and our players were making smart decisions with ball placement out on the court! It was a great day!
